Given the chaos of 2020 it’s no wonder the employment market has taken a bit of a hit.
Through this uncertainty, though, there has been some recruitment taking place and Accounting and Finance remains robust, albeit not at the same levels we have seen in previous years. The struggle to attract talent is still real and the best can command market-leading salaries.
Our benchmarking is based on our experience in the 2020 Accounting & Finance FMCG market and what we predict salaries will look like moving forward through 2021.

Day Rates
This is only a guide to what you might expect from day- ate contracting and post IR35 implementation there will be changes. Also, depending on which area of Accounting & Finance (e.g. M&A) you work in, you may be an outlier to these ranges.
For overseas candidates, if it's your first role in the UK then you may need to be a bit flexible on rate, possibly towards the lower end of the guide range. Once you've completed your first role (min 6 months), then your rate will move back in line.
